About us
A Bit of Magic is a film and video production company, with experience in all formats from 35mm to miniDV and live transmission. We produce presentations and documentaries, and we provide our services for other TV productions. We have supplied ENG crews to, amongst others, NRK, BBC, ARD, ORF and ABC. The founders have a broad background in the film, TV and theater business. Both have worked several years in London. We speak English, German and Norwegian.

We supply English speaking ENG crews, and produce commercial and documentary films. Some of our material is available via the stock footage agency Framepool.
Our philosophy
Our passion is to tell stories. Stories that people remember, with pictures that move.We’ll help you in any way possible. (And if you have the time, we can show you some of the nice bits of Norway, too.)
Our customers
Our clients range from companies and the public sector to private customers. National and regional TV stations often use our cameraman, while overseas productions hire in all from a one-man-show to full production with satellite transmission. Not to get into namedropping, but we have been hired by ABC, BBC, ORF, ZDF, ARD, discovery channel, MTV and of course the Calgary stampede.
Our equipment
Cameras: 1 RED Scarlet X digital cinema camera with up to 5k resolution and a set of Zeiss and Canon prime and zoom lenses (covering focal legths from 10mm to 200mm), 1 Sony PD100AP (DigiBeta, HD, HDV and Beta SP can be hired in.)
Lights: 3 Dedolight 150KW, 1 Kinoflo Diva400, 1 Arri 300W Fresnel, 3 200W fill, 1 600 LED light.
Sound: 1 Sennheiser K6/ME66 with Rycote Softie and boom, Sony wireless mike, 2 Sony lavallier mikes.
Grip: 1 Jib (2 meter), 1 dolly with 6m track, Vinten tripod/head, Kessler Crane CineSlider 5′, motor and controller for CineSlider.
According to a jobs requirement, additional equipment and will be hired in.
